Lesley's part time work at UCT is settling down into more manageable dimensions now that she has learned what all the acronyms stand for, and has mastered most of the students' names.  She has demolished the front wall of her cubicle and can now smile at people when they come in!

The work environment is generally stressful (for everyone) for various reasons, and she finds that she functions as an informal life coach and counsellor on various levels - an interesting place for an engineer-missionary!

Today she is part of a departmental team building day at a fancy hotel nearby, and she sends this image from the garden there to remind us, perhaps, that we can only make progress by sticking our necks out :)
