Martin's Mom had a fall

As you may have seen on Facebook, Martin's mom had a fall.  She broke two ribs and bruised her lung ... she is in ICU on morphine and with assisted breathing (oxygen up the nose!).  For those who know Cape Town she is in Vincent Pallotti which is a lovely hospital - so grateful for medical aid.  She will be there for about a week.  She is peaceful, but confused (morphine) and very sweet (herself).  She offered to help the nurses, and her comment when she discovered she was in hospital not church was that it was just as well they hadn't accepted!
Martin's dad meanwhile is very worried and dozing (as usual) in front of the television.  Sport on TV is the most wonderful thing!  He can't be left alone at all so Martin is living here - I am Oupa-sitting at this moment.

This all creates some logistical challenges in an already challenging week.  We are grateful for a family that pulls together, a church family that care is action and word, and friends who are very supportive.
