Accountability

We don't believe in "doing our own thing"; it is important for ministry to be linked to the wider church so that we are more able to discern "God's thing" for us.

Serving Strangers is linked to
Claremont Methodist Church (http://www.claremontmethodist.org.za/)
Donations are channeled through a bank account administered by the church.  The church leaders keep an eye on us, and one of them is a member of the Mostert Accountablility Group.

The MAG currently has three members who all belong to Claremont Methodist.

Kirsty taking minutes.  Keren chairing the meeting. Norman - at work.
They meet with us eight to ten times a year asking questions and listening to God with us.  Together we look at direction for ministry, finance for our life and work and pastoral issues.  Most importantly these amazing people pray with us!

We trust that all this keeps us doing God's work in God's way.
