Empty Nest

Charis left for a seven week trip to   England on Tuesday...all by herself and without a backward glance as she went through the gate...I suppose that could be regarded as a successful launching?

She is visiting her boyfriend, a serious love interest in her life - a nice young man who wrote me a very sweet letter assuring me of his best intentions.

It's tough!

But that is what I have seriously raised my children to do - to leave home as secure, compassionate and justice-seeking young adults.
